LEAGUES RULES - BERKSHIRE COUNTY, WMA, NATIONAL


League Rules for both Championship and Local JTT will be updated soon before the 2018 season:

Local League Rules - 2 "Open" Singles, 2 "'Open" Doubles, 1 Mixed Doubles

6 match days between June 12 - August 2. In case of rescheduling, all matches must be completed before August 9

"Open" means non gender-specific. Individual matches are 2 sets to 4 games, no-ad scoring with a 7-point tiebreak at 3-3, and a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. Teams will reserve 3 courts for 2 hours for each match.

Western Mass JTT State Championship - August 11-12 2018 

Hosted by USTA Western Mass. All teams invited to play. Winning teams will recieve prizes.

Championship Division Rules - Boys Singles, Boys Doubles, Girls Singles, Girls Doubles, Mixed Doubles

Two short sets (1st to 4, no-ad scoring) with a Match Tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. All teams require a minimum of 3 boys and 3 girls on tho roster and at each team match. Each player must have played in two matches in the Championship Track league in order to qualify for the Championship Tournament (USTA JTT competition regulations).

USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) is the largest youth tennis program in the country helping boys and girls ages 5-18 get on the court and have a good time. JTT matches players of similar age and ability to a team. Teams are co-ed and divided into five levels of play: 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under and 18 & Under. The 8 & Under and 10 & Under divisions utilize the 10 and Under Tennis format of play, focusing on healthy competition and fun. JTT players have the opportunity to play locally or advance to Sectional and National Championships.
