2011 SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAMS

Hello from the new Lee CTA Ten and Under Stockbridge Main Street Tennis Program. QuickStart Coach, Rachel Cogswell, a Lenox HS Tennis Team Member,  with a few of the Red Ball kids. This is the first time that we have ventured into our neighboring towns to offer our popular youth programs. Starting out this summer with only 10 children, we're sure this site will draw more children next year. Our long-term plan is to have 3 sites, Lee, Lenox, and Stockbridge, which can compete against each other in team matches, which would be especially nice for this younger U10 group. 

 

Site Director Wilson Chang instructs the only U12 at the Stockbridge courts. This young man served as a coaching intern with the younger kids in exchange for a 1/2 hr. private with Wilson. When he first arrived, his mother said, "He doesn't know anything about coaching," and we said, " No problem, we'll teach him." He loved it and is on his way to being not only a player, but a coach, too!
