What is World Team Tennis?

Created by tennis legend Billie Jean King, WTT is a co-ed format that encourages team play, fast-paced scoring, and lots of fun. Bunnie Lahey has led this program locally since 1981!

Originally part of the national WTT circuit, Lee CTA now runs this as a local-only league for flexibility and accessibility — but we’re open to rejoining the national league if there's interest!

WTT Match Format

  • Each team has at least 2 men and 2 women
  • Matches consist of:
    • Men’s Singles
    • Women’s Singles
    • Men’s Doubles
    • Women’s Doubles
    • 2 Mixed Doubles Sets
  • First to 5 games wins each set; 9-point tiebreak at 4–4
  • Extra play/tiebreaks used to decide match winners
