It is targeted at adults who have never played tennis before.
We will start off with fun red slow balls which will have you rallying the first week. We will then transition to orange then green balls.

Monica Herman, USPTR
LUNCH TIME LEARN TO PLAY Instructor

Monica has joined us this year as our Youth Tennis Director. She will also be hosting some adult clinics and be available for privates. She has a rich background as a player, coach, and instructor. She has just recently moved to the Berkshires and is looking forward to meeting our members. During the Spring, she will be coaching both the boys' and girls' tennis teams at Lenox MS/HS. During the summer/fall season, she hopes to be more involved with our programming for both youth and adults.
Rich Butler, USPTA
Rich has been a member of the tennis staff at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Bousquet Sport in Pittsfield and the Country Club of Pittsfield. For the past 9 years he has coached and taught tennis for the Lee CTA at Greenock Country Club and Lee High School. He is also the tennis coach for Miss Hall's School, where his daughter, Kate, is a student and member of the team. With a background in health and wellness, Rich is passionate about promoting fun, lifelong activities that keep people active and engaged. His full time career is as the Wellness Coordinator for Berkshire Health Systems in Pittsfield.
Dan Herbst, USPTR
PLAY TENNIS FAST Instructor

Dan has been the head coach of the Clark University Women's Tennis Team since 2015 and led the team to a school record ten wins in the 2015-16 season. This is Dan's third year coaching and teaching for the Lee CTA. He is also a tennis professional at the Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA since 2015. Dan currently lives in CT, where he works at the Four Season's Racquet Club during the off-season. Dan teaches in a very positive and upbeat style and is available for lessons with all ages and abilities on Tuesdays.
